Coffee, made clear.
KAVOVO is a home-coffee handbook: recipes you can follow on a weekday morning, and guides that explain why they work.
Why we started
Most coffee advice sits at one of two extremes. Either it skips the numbers entirely — "add a scoop, pour hot water" — or it assumes you already own a refractometer. Neither helps the person standing in the kitchen at 7am wondering why today's cup tastes thinner than yesterday's.
KAVOVO aims at the middle: exact doses, times and ratios, written plainly, with the reasoning attached. Every recipe tells you what to do and what to change when it doesn't taste right.
How recipes are written
Each recipe follows the same rules:
- Weights in grams and volumes in millilitres — never "a scoop".
- A starting ratio you can adjust, not a single fixed answer.
- Troubleshooting for the two failures that actually happen: too sour, too bitter.
- Equipment lists that assume a normal kitchen, with alternatives where they exist.
Where a drink depends on technique rather than numbers — milk texture, pour rate — the matchingbrew guide covers it in more detail.
What's coming
We're preparing a small range of coffees roasted for specific brew methods, so the beans and the recipe agree with each other. You can join the waitlist to hear when it opens.
