Hands-on 5 min; the rest is unattended brewing.
Ingredients
- 60 g coarsely ground coffee
- 600 ml cold filtered water
Equipment
- Jar or pitcher
- Coffee grinder
- Digital scale
- Filter
- Refrigerator
Optional
- Paper filter for a cleaner cup
Steps
- Add the coffee to the jar, pour in the cold water, and stir until every ground is wet.
- Cover and steep in the fridge for 14–16 hours.
- Strain through a paper filter or fine sieve into a clean bottle.
- Serve over ice, diluted with water or milk to taste — the concentrate is strong.
Tips
- Keeps up to a week in the fridge, so brew a big batch on Sunday.
- Coarse grind is essential; fine grounds make it muddy and bitter.
